How will these tests help?

The group of tests you are going to take will help us understand why you are experiencing abnormal uterine bleeding. Abnormal uterine bleeding can be caused by a number of underlying conditions, and these tests will help us to narrow down the possible explanations

The first group of tests will look at your hormones, which can play a role in abnormal uterine bleeding. We will be doing a Complete Blood Count (CBC) to check for any underlying infections or diseases

We will also be doing a Prothrombin Time (PT) and Partial Thromboplastin Time (PTT) to measure the time it takes for your blood to clot. Additionally, we will be testing your Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Prolactin, and Luteinizing Hormone (LH) levels to see if there are any imbalances in your hormones that could explain the abnormal uterine bleeding

The second group of tests will include an ultrasound, an endometrial biopsy, and tests for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The ultrasound will help us to see if there are any structural abnormalities in your uterus or ovaries that could be causing the abnormal uterine bleeding

The endometrial biopsy will look at the tissue of your uterus to check for any uterine infections or other abnormalities that could be causing the irregular bleeding. Lastly, the tests for sexually transmitted diseases will help us to rule out any infections that could be causing the abnormal uterine bleeding

All of these tests will help us to understand the possible causes of your abnormal uterine bleeding, so that we can provide you with the best treatment.
