How will these tests help?
The group of tests you are undergoing will help us better understand the cause of your elevated temperatures. This will include a Complete Blood Count (CBC), Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP), and C-reactive Protein (CRP), which will help us measure your bodys response to infection and inflammation
Additionally, we will be performing an Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) to measure the speed at which your red blood cells settle, which can indicate the presence of an inflammatory process. We will also be performing a few tests to look for sources of infection, such as Blood Cultures, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Test, and Lyme Disease Test
Finally, we will be performing an Antinuclear Antibody (ANA) and Rheumatoid Factor (RF) test, which can help us identify any autoimmune diseases that may be causing your unexplained fevers. Group 1: Complete Blood Count (CBC), Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP), C-reactive Protein (CRP), Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR), Antinuclear Antibody (ANA), Rheumatoid Factor (RF) Group 2: Blood Cultures, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Test, Lyme Disease Test
