The test for malarial parasite consists of a rapid test kit (RAT). This test kit provides a result within 15-20 minutes of adding the sample. The test is performed by a trained technician and the result is interpreted by a qualified pathologist.

Dengue Blood Test

Test for dengue involves an additional step of first allowing the blood sample to clot. Once the clotting is completed, the clear portion of the blood is added to another Rapid Antigen cum Antibody Test Kit. The results can be read after 30-45 minutes.

What is Dengue NS1 test?

The dengue NS1 test is a test for the dengue antigen/germ in your blood. This test is positive from day 1 of the fever all the way to day 5-7. The test takes only about 20-30 minutes to perform and reports should be available in less than 1 hour. Dengue NS1 is the name of the dengue viral antigen.
