To help us understand why you are experiencing memory difficulties, we are going to be running several tests. These tests are grouped into two categories: physiological tests and imaging tests
Physiological tests will include a Complete Blood Count (CBC), Thyroid Function Tests, Vitamin B12 and Folate Levels, Electrolyte Tests, Liver Function Tests, Kidney Function Tests, and Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Analysis. These tests will help us identify any underlying medical conditions that may be causing your memory impairment
Imaging tests will include Neuropsychological Tests, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Amyloid Imaging. These tests will provide us with a more detailed look at what is happening in your brain that may be contributing to your memory deficits
By running these tests, we hope to gain a better understanding of what is causing your memory loss and provide you with the best treatment plan to help you manage your symptoms.
